Looking to replace pretty much all of my "bathroom" supplies; specifically, a good conditioner and "leave-in" tonic or detangler would be great. But any recipe for shampoo, toothpaste, deoderant, face cream.....i use only some stuff, but I would love to start making these things for my wife.

Diluted vinegar is an old recipe, it is a very good hair rinse as it removes all soap remainders and leaves hair squeeky clean

I use an apple cider vinegar rinse after I've shampooed and conditioned my hair, using the products "I love my hair"... coconut scented and very mild. The vinegar rinse gives the hair shine, softens the shaft and adjusts the pH of the water so your scalp stays healthy.
1.5 lt filtered water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup camomile tea infusion (for blondes) or rosemary infusion (for brunettes)
I like to add a drop of lavender or a drop of rosemary essential oil as well but ONLY 1 drop of each.
Leave in for 5 to 10 mins and rinse out, your hair will be silky smooth and have bounce, great if you have a natural kink and want to enhance curl.
I make a great hair conditioner from blending the flesh of one large leaf of Aloe Vera Barbadensis (wash off the yellow juice first and only use the gel-like flesh) with an eggwhite. Has to be kept in the fridge, but works well as a natural gel or conditioner, applied in the evening, left to dry and washed out in the morning - it doesn't stain pillows ;)

My hair was frizz and more frizz. My hair dresser told me to stop shampooing so often so I went from daily to every other day, it looked so great that I went to twice a week, than weekly, than every other week and now I just don't shampoo at all. The frizz is gone and my hair looks great. I do rinse it with water when I bath and if it gets a bit oily (which does not happen very often) I rinse it with tea and apple cider vinegar. Think about it, do you really think we are meant to use all these products? Since doing this, I have also stopped using soap in the tub and now just brush my skin in the bath. My skin has never looked or felt better.
I am looking for deodorant ideas. I am a chiropractor and get very close to people so skipping the deodorant is just not an option. I try not to use the crystals since it is made with Alum which is aluminium.
i use a little baking soda under the arms. it works pretty well except if you're wearing black or get very sweaty, it can show through. i haven't researched if there's any reason not to use baking soda on the body. if there is, please let me know!
