Hey everyone!  Just wanted to give a shout out to anybody who is interested in intentional communities in the Southern Ontario region of Canada.  There is a growing group of  beutiful hearted people coming together with huge dreams, big plans and unlimited resources starting a series of eco-villages in this area.  If interested please find us on facebook under the group name of Project Rejuvenation.  There is a website that is in the workings at www.projectrejuvenation.net   You may also contact me directly at annarona1@hotmail.com or connect with me on facebook - Anna Rona.

Thank you so much and best wishes to everyone.

Until we connect again - be well!

Hi, I am moving to Chama, NM, in July and hoping to attract other like-minded people to the area to start a village or community.  I envision it will begin with people buying or renting in the area and we eventually build a common building. I am renting a house with 10 acres and horse stall and paddock and storage facility. I will begin by making herbal gardens and veggie gardens and an Anastasia-like school for teens. Chama is 8000 feet in the mountains. Lots of water, lakes, river, and green meadows.  I have been shown this land and guided there by my spirit guides and power animals so I know it is going to be fantastic. Not to far from the Hopi Four Corners.  Let me know if you're interested. Love, Jane

Hi Friend,

I am about 25 miles East of Sandpoint. Not far from the Montana border.

Let me know if you are in the neighborhood :)

Hi Ken, I live in Trail BC not far from Northern Idaho. Where are you located?

Hi Kin,  I have been away from Idaho and away from this group for the Winter.  It's time to bring the vision home. Here is my initial draft of my intentions:

Currently seeking one or two couples (not really suitable for children at this time)
Must have the means to physically and financially support themselves, and a desire to work collaboratively with others towards a harmonious and prosperous coexistence.

To offer
Beautiful place to live for ten years, (Possibly more)
15 acres
Creek, springs, gardens, common house and other abodes.
Mountains, wilderness, lakes, rivers near by.
Communal living with one or two other families.
Two miles from a small North Idaho town on an unpaved road. (electricity, phone, and a few other "modern" amenities )
A place to practice sustainable living (gardening, building, education, horticulture, community)(Permaculture)
Business opportunity assisting with three small business ventures:
Machinery repair
Property management
Houseboat lake excursions (Summer only)
(Basically the skills I have used to survive here-but in reality I have usually gone elsewhere to make money)

Energy Exchange:
(What is required to participate)

Desire to create and live a new paradigm.

At this time $450 per month and your share of utilities used. In addition $200 a month in energy exchange towards community improvements. (This is a fluid arrangement and will change depending on needs and people present.)(Putting a monetary value on these things is difficult and not always necessary.)

Initially a month to month commitment is the only requirement, however an intent to abide and build cooperative community is a prerequisite.
Harmonious living happens, it can not be mandated.

Hello Dear North American Kin!!  I am currently gathering plans to begin growing our family tree... we are not on our land yet so we will be starting in a clay pot as described in the series.

My question is for those who have planted a family tree or have information pertaining to the process...

Specifically, I am wondering if it would be ideal to plant a Siberian Cedar here in North America or if that may prove problematic?  Are native cedars preferible?  Has anyone considered other types of trees for their family trees such as those native to your motherland? That might not be cedar or oak?  We live in New Mexico and although I am seeking to not limit myself it seems that for us going with a tree that is generally adaptable to dry climate/ clay earth would be preferible.  Unfortunately many of these trees do not seem to have life spans beyond 40-50 years.

What would your criteria for your family tree be?

Thank you so much for any and all assistance!  Beaming LOVE and GRATITUDE!!! :D

Thanks Brent!  John - we are planning a trip to Oregon for the fairy festival at summer solstice - we would like to check out land and the ecovillages there.  We would love to visit if you are in the area!  : )

I think we should start a travel discussion, where people can look for kin to visit and areas to check out, or if they're traveling they can stay with kin in their destination.

I was thinking about this because I'm going to Miami Beach in February for a conference through a school I went to for Holistic Health Coaching and this is the only resource I could think of that may benefit me in that particular way. I'd really love to meet some kin in person, and why not do so when I'm already traveling somewhere? Knocks down a couple coconuts with one stone ;)
