Hi Ann, Just catching up on here and happy to see you. I am in Eugene and part of two intentional communities around here. I have also been a hospice caregiver for many years, am deeply into natural healing and all of the other passions/skills you listed. I am currently applying for nursing school with a hope to be able to work in the hospice arena in the future. Also I share office space with FinnPo's partner and have utilized the darkroom, albeit for a short amount of time. So there-now we are fast friends :) Hope to see you when you are in our neighborhood!

Come see us. We can tell you a lot. We also have a room here that we have all darkened up at this moment. We have had three people in it this season so far. It is mostly open for the next few weeks when we will likely take it down for the season. It is in Karly's studio, my partner. It is provisional but it has served dozens in the last few seasons.

My work is Conscious Deathing - being birthed into a new life by letting go of old patterns and addictions, and also then, being birthed into the new dimensions by staying conscious through the letting go of the physical body when it is time for that.

Incredible direction to work in. Are you in knowing of the connections Anastasia has made with the Dolmen Culture? There was a ten-thousand yr ago planet-wide human society that erected stone darkrooms for the venerated wise elder that would enter it when dying and thereby consciously enter 'eternal meditation' and attach their knowledge base to that very ground for later distribution. She says now is the time for that distribution. So you and I have this link between darkness and dying and incarnational responsibility that we can work with. wow.

Yes the darkrooming and dreamtiming are high on my interests too. Over the past few years here in this community setting I have endarkened a quest cob cottage for the winter months and folks have signed up for 3 or more day/nights of it, mostly in seclusion but not always. 60 or more people over the past have done it, some have gone over a week even. My partner and I have actually gone 11 days together in total darkness. Wonderful adventure. On my webpage I have a link to darkness retreats for furthering. You probably saw that.
