Architect of Peace ~ A Statement of Intention

In honor of my birthday today...

Architect of Peace ~ A Statement of Intention

In the name of the daybreak

And the eyelids of morning

And the wayfaring moon

And the night when it departs

I swear I will not dishonor my soul with hatred

But offer myself humbly

As a guardian of nature

As a healer of misery

As a messenger of wonder

As an architect of peace.

~ Diane Ackerman

In what ways do you feel called to Regenerate our Earth?
I'm still just reading the first book. However, what I've read so far, rings true for me - I'm especially liking the relationship between humans and the Plant Spirit being highlighted. UPDATE: Finally able to begin book 5. I'm creating more space/time for reading this incredible material. :-) The more I read of Anastasia's wisdom, I realize how closely it resonates with my own path.

The Torch-Bearers of Humanity

Posted on March 11, 2010 at 2:10am 1 Comment

The Souls of people, on their way to Earth-life, pass through a room full of Lights; Each takes a Taper, often only a spark, to guide it in the dim country of this world. But some souls are rare fortune, are detained longer and have time to grab a handful of Tapers, which they weave into a Torch. These are the Torch-Bearers of humanity, its Poets, Seers, and Saints, who lead and lift the race out of darkness, towards the Light. They are the lawgivers and the Saviors, the Light-Bring..ers, Way-… Continue

A very gentle loving place to visit...

Posted on July 31, 2009 at 7:48am 4 Comments

My heartfelt thanks to all of you kind and generous souls here in The Ringing Cedars Revolution. I find this community a very gentle and loving place to visit. It feels like coming home, where I can sit by the hearth fire and listen to the many beautiful stories being shared. This place feeds my soul and gives me strength to venture back out into the world again, my back straightened and tall again, my heart soothed, my spirit lightened.

Thank you all for your shining… Continue

I'll See You on the Outside

Posted on May 17, 2009 at 4:07pm 2 Comments

I woke up this morning with a poem that wanted to be born. Doesn't happen all that often, but I've learned that when the inspiration comes upon me, all I can do really is give it the space to arrive. I remember once having to pull over on the side of the interstate on the way to work a few years ago and write that particular poem out on a napkin I found in the glove compartment :-). Anyway, here it is:

I'll See You on the Outside

You’ve served your time

You’ve paid… Continue

Chandler's good. I've always been a country boy and am accustomed to having wildlands around, such as Oak/Hickory forests, swampland, rivines, etc. It's hard to be in so much concrete and block walls. I did manage to plant an herb garden and a square-foot vegetable garden, with more ideas everyday; so i'm making the best of it for now:)

I agree on AZ being somewhat of a sanctuary. My wife and I moved here 4 yrs ago and it seems this area has and will remain somewhat stable and a good place to "weather the storm."  It would be nice to get up in the northern country to be amongst some trees and greenery (and less heat).

Valory, loved your post on the God Core. I know exactly what you mean about doing it all. This is one reason I want to get back to Texas. The men there have managed to hold on to chivalry. I was walking in downtown Austin with my brother and he always made certain that he was on the curb side and opened the car door for me and all of the other small gracious acts that I have come not to expect. These actions are not big but I felt protected and cared for, and really cherished.

It's funny, but when I was I kid I didn't know what a morning glory was. I had a math teacher (actually the best teacher I ever had) for first period as a sophomore who called me morning glory. When I finally saw a morning glory in bloom I was just amazed. They are so luminescent, especially the heavenly blue. So, I always grow them because of their beauty and in gratitude to Miss Ellis for her kindness, patience and loving nature.
