At this school, revealed in Book 3 of the Ringing Cedars Series, the children have designed, built, and decorated their own campus. They cover the entire high-school curriculum in one year and get official Master's degrees by the time they are seventeen. They cook their meals, do administrative work, and write their own textbooks. They contemplate the meaning of the Universe and swim in mountain streams. They dance, draw, sing, and pick strawberries in the surrounding fields. They have no interest in the TV or video games. They do not prepare themselves for ‘life' — they live every moment they breathe.
In this inspiring video these children will move you to tears and their words will touch the very core of your being.

I went to a free school!
Unschooling is easy for me to "be" with my children becuase I was given a free range childhood in the woods living off grid. What a gift! I am so grateful to my parents. My oldest daugher Avalon is 7. She is learning to write and read on her own. I always try to answer a question with a question like the Native Americans did for their children. This teaches your children to think for themselves. They have far more confidence and intelligence then conventionally raised children. Our biggest issue with trying to fit in with society is my kids want to be naked all of the time. We stay in the woods as much as possible. My four year old Nature says that people who don't let her go naked are mean. We live in a cloth sided yurt so we can always hear the sounds of nature.
We live without structure. My daughters are amazing singers, dancers, story tellers, and artists. We do what ever we choose all day long. We have a beautiful beaver pond. We have a wonderful garden. The girls eat right out of the garden.
We are working towards creating Living Earth Eco village A kin Domain settlement in Maine. It is so much fun! My Dad is helping us!
Both my girls were homebirthed into the water. Nature slept on my stomach skin to skin for the first three months of her life. Both girls breastfed only until 7 months and then ate what they chose to and when they chose to without being fed. I love being a mom. I am still nursing Nature and I tandem nursed with Avalon until she was 4.5 years. We all sleep together. It is my favorite time of day to snuggle with my girls.

"Dear Baiame, Chayx, Chiarroh and Baez.
We want you to know that we love you sooooooooo much and we will see you very soon at the Summer Festival Day and hear all about school and everything you have been doing .... We are so much looking forward to sharing with you, the magic of your other home - the horses, the waterfalls, the forest and the mountains and to toast marshmallows around the fire and sleep under the stars with you.. .. We miss you so very much and cant wait to see you all and most of all to give you big cuddles and kisses...
Love always Mama and Glen." xxxx

i believe human being learn from interracting with their loved ones, and they learn all the time, even when you think they are resting.
My son has not touched a pen in TWO YEARS, and SUDDENLY started SCRIBBLING PERFECT SHAPED NUMBERS AND LETTERS and his writing is of the one of a good looking adult handwriting. It is completely FASCINATING.

I believe whichever cercle of learning is surrounding children it needs to include loved ones, althrough the DAY. I believe PARENTS whom love dearly their children will want to SPEND TIME with them AND LEARN WITH THEM.
They can be in their children world instead of out. I have seen the love in those children's eyes. Have you ?

The Bear Man Of Kamchatka
7:30pm Sunday, 07 Jun 2009 Nature CC G

A scenically stunning and dramatically engaging story of one man's campaign to prove grizzly bears can live harmoniously with people if they are conditioned from an early age to loving trust.

Canadian, Charlie Russell, is a surrogate mother to orphan bear cubs in the remote and beautiful wilderness reserve on Kamchatka Peninsula in eastern Russia. He has spent more than 10 years raising young bears and helping them return to the wild and in the process developed a unique, intimate relationship with them.

As he spends nine months of the year living as a recluse with the bears in this magnificent wilderness, he watches his young charges become increasingly independent, but hovers watchfully for the ever-present dangers of other grizzlies and poachers.

Russell's intimate and affectionate encounters with his beloved bears are a heart-warming sight in this thoughtful and beautiful film. He is determined to show that the fears man has about the savagery of such beasts are unfounded and that bears and humans can co-exist peacefully.
